Out of respect for the Black Lives Matter movement, in 2020 Ciro decided to change his moniker to Love Legend. The name "Black Legend" was of course a tribute to Barry White. Ciro says: the name testifies to my profound admiration and respect for black artists and black music but times change and the way things are perceived changes. The last thing I would want in the world is to offend, so I put the one thing that counts into my revised artist name: LOVE."
